We are an upscale group of 26 individually-owned town homes nestled on seven acres of the Lake Superior shore, 50 miles north of Duluth. (Mile marker 50.3 on Highway 61, in Beaver Bay, Minnesota… look for our sign, shown above.) Independent of any resort or lodging company, our community association is governed by a board elected by the owners.
Windsong Cottages overlook over 500’ of owned ledge rock shoreline plus additional, unoccupied lakeshore. We have city water and sewer and propane service supplied from a central, buried tank.
Our amenities include a path to the lake, an indoor pool (May 1-Oct. 31) and a year round sauna. The Gitchi-Gami bike and walking trail crosses our driveway entrance and this segment is the longest completed section of the still-developing trail (14 miles from Gooseberry State Park to Beaver Bay). The Superior Hiking Trail is reachable by a short walk.
Our natural grounds of trees, bushes and rocks, together with landscaping around the units, are attractive and well-maintained.
